Newmills supply a wide variety of turbines including Axial-Flow, Francis, HydroPak, Kaplan, Pelton and Turgo. We supply varying sizes and power outputs to suit all sites and have turbines that can generate up to 20 Mega Watts of power.

Newmills manufacture a Full range of turbine control equipment with plc control to achieve maximum efficiency over the turbine operating range.

Guide vanes and runners are used to control water flow and optimise efficiency of our turbines. N.B. some turbines may not contain either guid vanes or runners as they are not necessary. We can supply the following configurations turbines:

Double Regulated
Runner Regulated
Guide Vane Regulated

Often we use double regulation which is a combination of both runner and guide vane regulation. A PLC works autonomously to achieve maximum efficiency and can shut down the plant when a fault is found.

QUALITY GUARANTEED

While turbine construction can be very site specific all runners and guide vanes are CNC machined from stainless steel forgings. This allows the geometry of the runners and guide vanes assemblies to be extremely accurate and allows for higher efficiencies consistent with are model test results.
